What is Dignity for the Girl Child?
Some things that we might take for granted can be a true challenge somewhere else. One of them is having easy access to feminine hygiene products (pads). Many young women in Zimbabwe lack this entirely. With a strong desire to meet this need, Dignity for the Girl Child was founded in 2018 by Jeffrey & Juliet Mwanyenya (Zimbabwe) and Ramona & Humphrey Daniso.
MISSION
To provide feminine hygiene products to young women in Zimbabwe, that would otherwise be forced to use unhygienic means of protection, miss school and be embarrassed of a natural part of womanhood.
Today, Dignity is serving over 800 young women in eight different communities within Zimbabwe monthly, by supplying feminine hygienic products as well as education on proper use.

Dignity Christmas 2024
Every Christmas we raise money to give a special gift and Christmas meal to all our girls. In 2022 we were aiming for 700 girls and all the volunteers. Our goal was $10,000 that year for Christmas and we had a donor who would match $5000 raised. We were able to reach the set goal and Christmas parties took place in the first week of December 2022. In December 2023, money was raised to give each of the girls a Christmas gift. We are now in the fall of 2024, and for those of you who like to plan ahead and are able to help towards the upcoming Dignity Christmas gifts and parties for this year, you can send an e-transfer to Manitoulin Community Church and mark it for Dignity Christmas. The email for e-transfer (with no security question required) is the same as above: manitoulincc@gmail.com Thank you and God Bless!
